INVITATION TO CONGRESS
Dear Colleagues,
It gives us a great pleasure to announce that ULEAD ANNUAL CONGRESS 2024: 13th International ELT Research Conference, the 18th International Congress of Research in Education (ULEAD-ICRE 2024) and the 8th International Congress of Research in Applied Linguistics (ULEAD-ICRAL 2024) is to be organized by International Association of Educational Researchers (ULEAD) and hosted by Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University in collaboration with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Education, ELT Department on 27-28 September 2024 in Ankara, Türkiye. The theme of our Congress is “Navigating the Future of Language Education”. It will be a hybrid event, and its aim is to furnish an opportunity for the dissemination of the results of rigorous academic enquiry as well as encouraging scientific discussion, exchange of ideas and other interaction with colleagues and researchers. It will be a great honour for us to introduce some distinguished scholars as keynote speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ali Derakhshan, Prof. Dr. Hossein Farhady, Christopher Sanders and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Christine Coombe who will inform us about their own scholarly work. We believe, the conference will be a great opportunity to discuss how we can analyse the present and shape future issues in language teaching. In addition, we invite all scholars from around the world who are involved in ELT research to submit a proposal for an oral presentation, workshop or poster presentation on one of the following themes or another relevant topic:

The Congress welcomes both online and onsite presentations. Potential presenters are requested to submit a proposal, in the form of a 300–500-word structured abstract, via our electronic submission system, by 1 September 2024. Proposals will be blindreviewed by the Screening Committee for scope and quality. Paper presentations will be given a 15-minute time slot, with a 5-minute question-and-answer session. Workshop presenters will be allocated 45 minutes and poster sessions will be arranged for presenters to discuss their work with interested participants. Detailed information on structuring and submitting your proposal, screening policy and important dates for the conference can be found in related links on our web site. The presented papers will be published by ELT Research Journal (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/eltrj) after a review process. Additionally, the papers which are not published in this journal will be published in the conference proceedings book. We believe that this conference will enable the dissemination of high-quality research findings which will also contribute to the professional development of practitioners and scholars and consequently impact the quality of learning and teaching in our field. In addition, we hope that individual participants will find opportunities for fruitful interaction with colleagues and researchers. We are looking forward to hosting you all at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University in September 2024.
